Overview/Rationale Students will gain knowledge of reading and writing by being able to indicate both uppercase
and lowercase letters through a group activity. Students will work in groups of two.

Materials
● Online alphabet learning musical
● Capital and Lowercase Letters Worksheet
● Crayons

Procedure
● All students will watch a video and listen to the alphabet song
● Students will get into groups of two
● Each group will receive one worksheet with a key to color the page and reveal a hidden
picture belonging to a letter
● One student in each group will color in the spaces with an uppercase letter
● One student in each group will color in the spaces with a lowercase letter
● First group to finish the worksheet will receive a special treat

Assessment
▪ I checked the understanding of the students by viewing their worksheets to make sure
the correlating parts to the images had been correct.

▪ To further know if students truly understand, each group will present their designated
letter to the class.
