Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Amazing Life Guide is providing a total of two (2) ‘Full scholarships’ for the
2018 Amazing Life Bootcamp.
The Scholarship is governed by the terms and conditions set out below. By
applying for the Scholarship, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions,
and the decisions of Amazing Life Guide. You also agree to comply with all
applicable laws.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.  Scholarship Application Period  
The Scholarship application period runs October 10 to October 18, 2018 at
11:00 p.m. PST, unless otherwise amended. Applications must be made via the
online web portal and received by Amazing Life Guide within the allocated
period to be eligible.
The Scholarship recipients will be chosen by Amazing Life Guide based on
their application. The Scholarship recipients will be contacted by Amazing Life
Guide on October 19, 2018.

2.  How to Enter
You may apply for Amazing Life Bootcamp Scholarship by completing the
online application form as per the following:
• Go to https://tiffanyelsener.typeform.com/to/A6wAJk and follow the
instructions.  Complete all requirements in the online application form,
including but not limited to: 

 ◦ Contact information;


◦ Business information;


◦ Your response to Question 5. ‘Why do you want to come to the

Amazing Life Bootcamp’;


◦ The social share component that includes tagging

@amazinglife.guide and #amazinglifebootcamp in an Instagram
post mentioning your excitement about the event;


◦ Your acknowledgement and acceptance of the terms and

conditions.

It is solely your responsibility to ensure that your application is properly

registered as described above. Amazing Life Guide will not be responsible for
any lost, delayed, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, damaged or undeliverable
applications, or any delay or failure to transmit, process, receive or consider
applications.
Please do not submit your application multiple times. Applications submitted
multiple times will be disqualified.
By submitting to the Scholarship Application, Amazing Life Guide reserves the
right to use any application content, photo, logo, video and any other submitted
information for promotional, marketing, publicity and all other purposes as
deemed by Amazing Life Guide.  
3.  Eligibility — Applicants
Amazing Life Guide Scholarships for the Amazing Life Bootcamp is open to
Canadian residents only.
You may apply for the Scholarship if at the time of entry: you are a citizen or
permanent resident of Canada; AND you are between the ages of (18) and (39)
years of age; AND you have no criminal record; AND you are eligible to travel
within Canada; AND you are available to travel between October 27.
Amazing Life Guide employees and their immediate families (i.e. their
spouses, siblings, children, spouses' parents, and the spouses of any of those
individuals) and their household members (related or not) are not eligible to
apply.
All applications submitted must not contain, depict or refer to any crude,
vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, racist, disparaging, discriminatory, offensive,
illegal or otherwise unsuitable language, activity or other content. All
applications submitted must not disparage or refer negatively to Amazing Life
Guide, not conflict with any Core Values of Amazing Life Guide, or otherwise
be objectionable to Amazing Life Guide (as determined by Amazing Life
Guide in its sole discretion).
At any time and at its own discretion, Amazing Life Guide may disqualify any
entrant who: does not meet the eligibility criteria, fails to comply with these
terms and conditions, attempts to apply in any manner or through any means
other than as described in these terms and conditions, attempts to disrupt the
Scholarship Application process or attempts to circumvent any of these terms
and conditions.
4.   Scholarship Inclusions
Amazing Life Guide is sponsoring TWO ‘Full scholarships’ to the Amazing
Life Bootcamp only.
‘Full scholarships’ sponsored by Amazing Life Guide include a full ticket to
the Amazing Life Bootcamp, which covers workshop, meals and registration.
Scholarships do not include travel expenses.  
5.  Judging Process – Scholarship Recipient Selection
Applications will be judged by Amazing Life Guide based on the following
criteria:
 • Applicant demonstrates an understanding of the value of internal
leadership, growth and community impact (up to 5 points)


• Applicant shares Amazing Life Bootcamp Instagram post on their

personal and/or business account, tagging @amazinglife.guide and
#amazinglifebootcamp (up to 2 points)

• Applicant demonstrates the following qualities: Outgoing, approachable

and professional (up to 5 points)


• Total 12 points available


The two Scholarship recipients will be notified by phone and e-mail by October
19, 2018 and will have two (2) days to respond. If a Winner does not respond
by this period, the third place finalist will be contacted. This process will
continue until the two Scholarship recipients are confirmed.
6.  Scholarship Recipient Compliance with Terms and Conditions
The Scholarship recipients must have complied with, and remain in compliance
with, these terms and conditions, from the date of application to the fulfilment
of the post-event marketing and promotions up to 1 month after the last day of
Amazing Life Bootcamp.
The Scholarship recipients must also sign and deliver to Amazing Life Guide
(within two (2) days of Amazing Life Guide's request) a publicity release, a
liability release, and any other documentation that Amazing Life Guide may
require.
Amazing Life Guide may request valid proof of identity, residency, age and
other relevant documentation, and Amazing Life Guide may disqualify an
entrant if Amazing Life Guide determines (at its sole discretion) that the
provided proof is not sufficient.
If the Scholarship notification is returned as undeliverable or not reachable by
telephone, or if a selected applicant does not comply with all of the above
requirements within the above time frames, or does not otherwise comply with
these terms and conditions, the applicant will be disqualified and Amazing Life
Guide will select a replacement recipient. This cannot be refuted after the fact.
Amazing Life Guide expects to announce the name of the Scholarship
recipients by October 19, 2018.
7. Recipient Role and Responsibilities
If you are a successful Amazing Life Scholarship recipient for the Amazing
Life Guide, you agree to the following as a condition of your Scholarship:

• Attend the Amazing Life Bootcamp on October 27 at STRETCH Yoga &

Events

• Make all the necessary arrangements to ensure your attendance at the

bootcamp, including but not limited to travel


• Act as a representative of Amazing Life Guide exhibiting a professional

and polite demeanour during all interactions and abstaining from lewd
and/or illegal behaviour


• Announce your successful Scholarship application outcome and share

your bootcamp experience on your personal and/or business Instagram
account, tagging @amazinglife.guide and #amazinglifebootcamp with
reference to your involvement as a recipient of the Amazing Life
Scholarship


• Provide the details and information required to promote your

involvement in Amazing Life Bootcamp on the Amazing Life Guide blog
and/or social channels 


• Be available to engage with Amazing Life Guide to develop a feature

blog post on the Amazing Life Guide website sharing your experience of
 after the event 


• Share photos taken at Amazing Life Bootcamp with Amazing Life Guide
for them to share as they see fit (such as on a blog, or posted on
Instagram, Facebook, etc.)


Note: Additional details and requirements will be provided to the Scholarship

recipients.
8.  Cancellation
If for any reason Amazing Life Guide cannot run the Scholarship application as
planned (including as a result of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud,
technical failures, infection by computer virus or any other cause that corrupts,
impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper
conduct of this Contest) Amazing Life Guide may cancel, modify, extend or
suspend the Scholarship. In that event, Amazing Life Guide may make fewer or
no offers.
Amazing Life Guide may also disqualify any individual who tampers with or in
any way corrupts the application process, or who attempts to undermine the
legitimate operation of the Scholarship by cheating, hacking, deception, or
other unfair practices, or by attempting to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any
other applicants or Amazing Life Guide representatives.
9.  Publicity
Except where otherwise prohibited by law, participation in the Scholarship
constitutes an applicant’s consent to Amazing Life Guide use of the recipient’s
name, hometown, image/likeness, province, photo or other information for
promotional purposes without further notification, permission, payment or
consideration.
10.  Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnification
Amazing Life Guide is not responsible for: (1) incorrect or inaccurate
transcription of entry information or late, lost, incomplete, misdirected entries,
or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels; (2) technical
failures of any kind, including without limitation the malfunctioning of any
telephone, computer, network, hardware or software; (3) the unavailability or
inaccessibility of any service; (4) unauthorized human intervention in any part
of the entry process or the Contest; (5) electronic or human error which may
occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or (6)
any injury or damage to persons or property, including without limitation your
computer or cell phone, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole
or in part, from your participation in the Contest or from downloading any
material from Amazing Life Guide's website.
Amazing Life Guide will not be liable to you for any indirect, special,
consequential, or punitive damages in connection with the Contest or these
rules.
Amazing Life Guide will not cover any costs associated with participation in
the Scholarship outside of the allotted $599 CAD for each of the two (2)
recipients.
By participating in this Scholarship application, you release and agree to
indemnify and hold harmless Amazing Life Guide and its employees, directors,
officers, affiliates, agents, sponsors, partners, judges and advertising and
promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of
actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this
Scholarship application or receipt or use of any prize.
By participating in this Scholarship application, you further agree to indemnify
and hold harmless Amazing Life Guide and its employees, directors, officers,
members, affiliates, agents, sponsors, partners, judges and advertising and
promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of
actions or losses of any kind (including actual legal fees and expenses) arising
from or related to: (a) your failure to comply with any of these terms and
conditions; (b) any misrepresentation you make under these terms and
conditions or otherwise to Amazing Life Guide; or (c) your participation in the
Scholarship application.
11.  Personal Information
You consent to Amazing Life Guide using and disclosing your personal
information for the purposes of administering the Scholarship application;
advertising the Scholarship application and any future Amazing Life Guide
events and; and for the other purposes described in these terms and conditions.
