PLUMBASE

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW BRANCHES & BRANCH REFITS

These General Specifications describe the fit-out standards required for new Plumbase
branches and for branch refits.
Refer to the current Plumbase Components & Finishes Schedule for the product and
finishes references for each item.
Read in conjunction with the submitted drawings. Any discrepancies to be notified to
Plumbase.

2.0 UTILITIES

2.1 GAS (Normally gas would not be used on Plumbase new installations)

Generally, a gas supply will already be installed.

Install a gas supply from the gas meter to the boiler(s).
New gas pipes are to be labelled.
All gas installations are to be installed to Gas Regulations and Certified.
Make good any parts of the fabric of the building that are disturbed by these works.
Plumbase will arrange connection and installation of meter.

2.2 ELECTRICITY

Generally, a 3-phase metered supply will already be installed. Preferred power supply
100AMP / min 60KVA
Install a new consumer board to provide sufficient protected circuits for the branch with
(as a minimum) dedicated circuits for;
1. General power
2. Lighting & signage
3. Loading bay & security shutters
4. Heating
5. Alarms
6. Data comms & phones
All electrical installations are to be installed to IEE Regulations and Certified.
Plumbase will arrange connection and installation of meter.
2.3
WATER

A water supply service will already be installed.

Modify the incoming water supply as required, including fitting an internal stop valve in a
convenient position for use in an emergency.
Plumbase will arrange connection and installation of meter.
2.4
DRAINAGE

All below ground drains will already be installed.

Modify the soil drainage connection as required.
Clear and test all soil drain connections.
Clear and test all gutters, rainwater pipes, gullies and connections.
Drawings to be annotated to show drainage requirements.

TELEPHONES

Incoming BT lines may already be installed or will be arranged by Plumbase.
