PPB was incorporated in July 1998, as a corporate joint venture vehicle for the planning
and development of Putrajaya. In the last 10 years, we have gone on to build some of the Federal
Government Administration Centre’s government complexes, offices and high-end residential
units as well as undertaken several prominent projects in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
The Group is also well-known as a pioneer in building green buildings in Malaysia. PPB
have successfully completed several landmark projects such as the Low Energy Office ("LEO")
Building for the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, the Green Energy Office

Building ("GEO") for National Green Energy Centre and the Diamond Building for Energy
Commision. With demand for green and sustainable buildings set to rise, we expect to gain
considerable momentum in this area.
PPB owe their exponential growth over the past decade to a strong focus on their core
competencies in construction and property development, high standards of quality and efficiency,
and a firm commitment to delivering on time without compromising their quality of work. They
focus on research and cost effective solutions, as well as their openness to exploring innovative
technologies, also continue to hold us in good stead. Backed by sound business fundamentals and
a strong management team which has the foresight and ability to tap into lucrative new
opportunities, PPB is well positioned to deliver on their promises in all their projects and all their
markets.
To date, the Group has undertaken some RM9.5 billion worth of jobs both for Government-
related parties and the private sector. Their products and services bear testimony to the quality of
their work and inherent capabilities, as well as highlights their expertise in specialty, green
buildings.
They many projects include high-rise office and residential buildings, commercial and
retail outlets, government offices, townships, and infrastructure projects such as highways,
bridges, utility service tunnels and monorail tunnels, among others. Their property development
division has to date built and handed over 1,000 units of residential properties ranging from
government apartments, semi-detached houses, super-link houses, townhouses and government
bungalows.
As a testament to our efforts, the Group’s projects have received international accolades
from various organizations in several categories. These include the Malaysian Construction
Industry Excellence Awards 2010 (for Contractor Awards Grade G7 and Special Award for
Innovation Category) for Energy Commission's Diamond Building. The Ministry of Energy, Green
Technology and Water’s LEO building was awarded the 2006 ASEAN Energy Efficiency and
Conservation Best Practices for Energy Efficient Building Award. These accolades and awards

have gone a long way in positioning PPB as an outstanding construction and property development
player in the region.
Leveraging on their expertise and strong track record, they continue to aggressively pursue
new horizons, seeking out new markets as well as business opportunities that are synergistic to
their core competencies.
The Group is confident of providing good returns to their shareholders as they bring into
play their expertise and experience as proven builders of landmark projects and pioneers of green
and energy efficient buildings.
To become the top five largest public-listed construction group in Malaysia in terms of market
capitalization by 2020. We shall accomplish this by committing the right people and necessary
resources to uphold our status as a premier builder.

2.7 CONSTRUCTION: COMPANY BACKGROUND
Since its inception in 1990, formerly known as Kamunting Construction Sdn Bhd, Putra Perdana
Construction Sdn Bhd ("PPC"), a subsidiary of Putrajaya Perdana Berhad ("PPB"), has to date
secured more than RM10.1 billion worth of projects of which 40% were "Design & Build"
projects.
With smart partnership and boundless expertise, PPC continuously embark on challenging
fast track Design & Build projects, while always achieving timely delivery, within budget and
without sacrificing safety, quality or the environment on most of the projects.
PPC projects portfolio includes prominent, design-and build, large scale commercial and
infrastructure, and innovative residential projects. PPC is also renowned in building energy
efficient buildings.
PPC has the privilege of constructing some of Putrajaya iconic government complexes and offices
as well as undertaking several prominent commercial projects within Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
Many of these have positioned us as a trustworthy builder, capable of delivering innovative and
avant-garde projects within a project's timing and budget.

2.7.2 Green Building Focus
In early 2000, PPC have built up a reputation as a leading player in the construction of green and
energy efficient buildings in Malaysia and we have been constantly making inroads in the green
building segment ever since. Landmark projects such as the LEO, GEO, Diamond Building,
Sarawak Energy Berhad headquarters in Kuching, Menara Felda and Integra Tower in Kuala
Lumpur have all set new benchmarks for constructing energy efficient buildings in Malaysia.
With the recent boom in green building construction, PPC added Menara PjH, AraGreens
Residences, Horizon Residences, Jing Si Hall and Manipal International University into its
portfolio for this category.
PPC continue to leverage their construction expertise to build the infrastructure for some of
Malaysia's busiest ports as well as highways, bridges, utility service tunnels, monorail, and sub-
structure projects, among others. Their infrastructure experience also extends to developing public
amenities and recreational facilities such as university, hospitals, hotels and resorts.
