Congratulations Loretta!

President John Petillo and the entire Sacred Heart University community
congratulate our great friend, Loretta Brennan Glucksman, who is Guest of
Honor at the 2018 Ireland-U.S. Council Saint Patrick’s Luncheon.

For the past 15 years, Sacred Heart has maintained a presence in Ireland
with its Dingle, County Kerry, campus. Recently, the University established
the John Moriarty Institute for Ecology and Spirituality, which will be
housed in the recently acquired former Christian Brothers school.

Sacred Heart is one of the only universities in an officially-designated “Gaeltacht,”

or Irish-speaking, district of Ireland. Preservation of the vitality of the language and
all aspects of Irish culture are important to the community in Dingle. Sacred Heart’s
campus gives students the opportunity to be surrounded by traditional Irish culture,
while also having access to the area’s expansive modern amenities. Beyond the physical
campus, Sacred Heart uses Dingle as the classroom, emphasizing the opportunity for
students to fully experience Irish culture and the natural beauty of the environment.
