Hello Janis -- thanks very much for your e-mail. I will contact some people who know
the services available in our area inside and out and hopefully will have some
immediate steps for you to take on rent assistance and/or another place to live. My
youngest child is 4 and she is severely special needs so I can sympathize with the
difficulties you're undoubtedly going through. One thing my special needs child loves to
do is go on the swings and the see-saw at the park -- we have several wonderful city
parks in town, all very child-friendly. Brook Knoll is a fantastic school with very
supportive and skilled teachers so your grandchildren will get the best public education
possible in their hands. I will contact you tomorrow after I've talked to some people -- at
the very least I'd be happy to meet you and your kids at the park w/ my kids (I have four
ages 4 - 11) so there would be one other person in town that you would know and could
call for help.
