(I) Evacuation enemas: used to Evacuate the bowel “stool in constipation or before surgery”.
They act by stimulating peristalsis.

bowl (e.g., anthelmintic enemas) to treat worms and parasites (destroy intestinal parasites)
(III) Diagnostic enemas: They contain radiopaque substances for X- ray diagnostic
investigation in the large bowel (e.g., Barium sulfate enema)
