eyes are on two matches to be played today at Abu Dhabi in the Asia Cup, where India take on
Pakistan and Afghanistan meet Bangladesh. In the group stages, India won the match against
Pakistan by 8 wickets and Afghanistan trounced Bangladesh. Afghanistan's spin sensation
Rashid Khan, who turned 20 on Thursday, helped his side beat Bangladesh by 136 runs. Rashid
smashed an unbeaten 57 off 32 deliveries to lift Afghanistan to 255 for seven and then
tormented Bangladesh with the ball in a Man of the Match display of 2-13. Rashid has played a
major role in Afghanistan’s journey to becoming a Test-playing nation. Earlier this year, he
became the fastest to take 100 wickets in ODIs, beating Australian Mitchell Starc’s
achievement by eight matches. In the Super Four match on Friday, Pakistan survived a scare
against Afghanistan and won the thriller by 3 wickets. Picture shows Rashid celebrating the
dismissal of Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan in Thursday's game.
