Our role as Christ-follower is to be like Him. We have the awesome calling to be His ears and
eyes and a gentle touch in our schools. One of His most precious aAributes is compassion.
He is tender and sympatheBc and there is never any doubt that He will be faithful. How is our
compassionate meter in the classroom? Does it rise high when our students are acBng up?
Is it possible that many of their disrespec3ul ways are manifested because they are hurBng and

it really has nothing to do with us? Try a liAle compassion the next Bme you need to discipline a
student. Take them outside your door and speak to them with grace and let Jesus with skin on
handle the confrontaBon.
