Wild Dwarf Traits

Your dwarf character has an assortment of inborn abilities, part and parcel of dwarven nature.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score by 1.

Age. Dwarves mature at the same rate as humans, but they’re considered young until they reach the
age of 50. On average, they live about 350 years.

Alignment. Most wild dwarves are lawful neutral. They hold the wisdom of their elderly in respect,
but those with weakness or illness are often abandoned to die for the good of the hunting group.

Size. Wild dwarves stand between 2’8’’ and 3’6’’ feet tall and average about 62 pounds. Your size is
Small.

Wild dwarf, female 2'6" +2d4 40 lb. × (1d4) lb.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Darkvision. Accustomed to life under heavy foliage, you have superior vision in dark and dim
conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as
if it were dim light. You can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey.

Wild Dwarf Resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have
resistance against poison damage (explained in chapter 9). You have advantage on saving throws
against disease. You are immune to exhaustion caused by extreme heat.

Wild Dwarf Combat Training. You have proficiency with handaxes, javelins, and blowguns.

Tool Proficiency. You have proficiency with the poisoner’s kit.

Woodland Cunning. Whenever you make a Wisdom (Survival) check related to forest terrain you are
considered proficient in the Survival skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check,
instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Disentangler. You have advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to escape a grapple.

Mud Armour. You are covered in hair plastered in mud forming crude armour. When you aren't
wearing manufactured armour, your AC is 11 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural
armour to determine your AC if the armour you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's
benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armour.
Languages. Wild dwarves speak a dialect of Dwarven, as well as Common. Dwarvish is full of hard
consonants and guttural sounds, and those characteristics spill over into whatever other language a
dwarf might speak.
