‘The more we have the less we own’ (quote by Meister Eckhart). Having
more doesn’t mean being happier.
ROJO: se quita
VERDE: comentarios
Nowadays, people use (aqui no se pondria "use to" ya que significa: solían
pensar, en pasado) to think that material things can give them happiness. But
they are wrong (lo dicho, muy directo. Yo pondria algo mas como: "But that is
not always the case"). That kind of people (Mejor: "those kind of people")
always need more and more and never achieve the (el "the" no es necesario)
real happiness.
So, we have to ask us (ourselves) what we really need for being (to be) happy.
Is that (it) money? Is it the fastest and the most expensive car? Or maybe is it
the newest phone at the local market? No, definitely anything of that can give
access to happiness (no entiendo muy bien el significado de la frase. Por lo que
entiendo seria: "None of this can assure you happiness" O "None of it will give
you access to happiness for certain")
Things which can make us happy are non-material things (aqui la frase esta
bien pero queda un poco escueta creo. Podrias decir algo como: "Some of the
things that are proven to make you happy are non-material things). What do you
think about love? (What about love, for example) Love is one of the most
important things which can provide us good feelings, like happiness. We receive
love everyday from every person. We need to learn to see through non-material
things and to appreciate them. We must to say as much as we can to people
who we love that we love them! (Esto se suele decir mas bien asi: "We have to
tell people we care about we love them as often as we can")Everyone likes
listening once in a while how much one is loved from a close person. In
conclusion, say everyday to someone how much cares to you (tell everyday
someone you care about how much they mean to you) . This is what really
make us happy, to give and receive love.

You have been asked to write an argumentative essay for the Eye on Spain
forum www.eyeonspain.com on the following topic:
Due to the brain drain, is working abroad the right choice for Spanish young
people?
Please include the following information:
-introduce the topic to capture the readers’ attention
-discuss the current situation in Spain
-mention positive and negative aspects
-make a conclusion and state your opinion
Nowadays, in Spain we are suffering more and more the brain drain. Young
people are being trained deeply more in his areas of studies than ever. Despite
that, they still no having a good position in a job, earning a bad salary or even
being unemployed what is worst. Owing to the economic crisis, they are trying
to get a job abroad. However, there are both pros and cons to deciding this.
Let’s begin by looking at the advantages of working abroad. One of the main
positives of heading overseas is that it broadens your horizons. Secondly,
working abroad can lead to earn good salaries. In addition, by working
overseas, you can gain qualifications and language skills, which may improve
promotion prospects on your return.
Turning to the other side of the argument, to start a new life from scratch is a
major problem. You have to make new friends and find your place in the
community. Moreover, If you do not know its language it can be a problem to
get a job.
All things considered, starting life in a foreign country is never easy. Personally,
I believe the benefits in terms of personal growth eventually outweigh any
negatives.
3) You have received the following letter from your English-speaking friend:
.............Thanks for inviting me to stay with you when I visit your country
next month.
I'm not sure how to get to your apartment from the airport. Could you
write back giving me some basic instructions? What would be the best
method of transport for me? I'd prefer one that isn't too expensive!
Just one other thing - what will the weather be like when I get there? (Just
so I'll know what clothes to pack!) .........
Hello Mary,
How is going? Always it’s great to hear from you. I’m really happy about you’re
coming to my city!
I’ve been thinking about and the best way to get to my apartment is by car, so
I’ll pick you up from the airport. As soon as you know the time and the terminal
where your flight arrives, let me know.
Regarding the clothes, if you have a big luggage, bring it! Because here the
weather is crazy and some days you’ll need a coat and others we’ll go to the
beach. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
Best regards,
Clara
