CAROLINAS REGIONAL NEWSLETTER

Fall 2010

A message from.....................

Mike Tavener, Regional Operating Principal

“Mega Camp was outstanding! The input I received from Leadership regarding
the first two days was that the information was rapid fire, content rich, and
timely. An awesome Carolinas Leadership Reception was held Monday night
at the Iron Cactus with Special Guests Bev Steiner from California and Erica
Hill from Boise, Idaho. Their leadership messages to over 75 attendees were
reviewed as the equal of any of the events hosted that afternoon. Stay tuned
for next year’s leadership reception and more incredible guests.

With over 10,000 registered attendees, there were more people at Mega
Camp than the 2010 Family Reunion. Moreover, this attendance was
estimated at higher than the combined attendance at all competing
franchises’ conventions this year. Chris Gardner, our featured speaker was
amazingly insightful in his saga of going from homeless to successful business
man. If you missed his speech, his story was the basis for the movie “The
Pursuit of Happyness”. Through Wednesday and Thursday over 350 of
Carolinas attendees enjoyed panel after panel of hugely successful agents who
haven’t yet heard that the market has shifted. I estimated that the Carolinas
alone had over 75 guests in attendance and as a whole there were well over
1,000 guests checking out Keller Williams. I can only look forward to KWRI
raising the bar again next year!

Thanks to all of our leadership, agents and guests that helped make this Mega
Camp a huge success.”

Highlights from Mega Camp 2010
“Success in marketing is consistency. It doesn’t take money to build a great business.”- Mike Zullo
“I loved Dianna Kokoszka’s presentation Tuesday morning
about energy. Using my notes, I’ve created a similar Power
Point with escalator video included. My TL, Terry Rainer
found a great video to end with showing how people are
attracting FUN. That’s the kind of energy we want in our
office.”- Cheryl Gilmore

“The material was amazing. One of the best things that I

took from it was that you have to prospect with a purpose and
keep focused on your main goal as a real estate agent. (Lead
Generation)! There were several ways to lead generate, but the recurring theme was pick one and become
an expert on it.” – Rodney Heard

“Our Market Center had 4 agents that were recruited from

another large company.  As part of their agent package we
elected to send them to Mega Camp so they could get the
“real feel” for Keller Williams.  They were blown away by the
technology, speakers and general talent of our organization.
It was the best thing that we could have done as a Market
Center.  We now have four agents who are boasting about
KW to every agent that they run into.  Good news for us!
Thank you for such a huge success.  KW deserves a big round
of applause!”- Angela Kalamaras

“BGOs - blinding glimpse of the obvious - showing agents supporting buyer agents, power hour calls, market
listings”! -Rowena Patton
