Local and Regional Governments Lounge

The Local and Regional Government Lounge is organized by UCLG in its role as facilitator of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional
and jointly coordinated with the GTF partners. It will be situated just in front of the UN-Habitat Pavilion, giving it a preferable location.
With a surface of 120 m2, the Pavilion offers a space where cities, regions as well as their partners can contribute to the WUF9. It is a
space open to all local and regional governments and other non-state actors. All will be given the opportunity to participate in the Lounge
by (co-) organizing presentations, dialogues, and closed small meetings.

It will consist of:

- An open space for presentations or activities intended for a large audience, including an AGORA designed for thematic
presentations and briefing sessions; and a central Lounge area for and bilateral/private discussions between stakeholders. (max
20-25 persons),
- A small meeting room (max 6-8 persons), closed off and designed for staff briefing and ad-hoc meetings.

The two distinct spaces of the Pavilion – the agora and the small meeting room – will have their own programme throughout the WUF,
and in order to organize the programming of these places, the GTF Partners are invited to communicate to the UCLG secretariat
before 29 January for their expected meetings as well as audio-visuals materials to be screened during the days of the WUF.
