Interview Confirmation 10.31.18
Interview Confirmation 10.31.18
Applicant:
I am writing to confirm your upcoming interview date with our program. We are looking forward to meeting
with you on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 8:30am in the Resident’s Lounge (Room 5535) on the 5th
floor of the hospital, 2500 Alhambra Avenue, here in Martinez. Turn right after exiting elevators, go through
double doors, then turn left. Residents Lounge is the left hand corner.
Your interview day will begin with a light continental breakfast and an introduction to the residency by our
Program Coordinators and Director, Dr. Kristin Moeller. You will have two individual interviews (one with a
resident and one with a faculty member), a tour of the Martinez campus and lunch with our Residents and
Faculty to orient you to our program. You can expect the schedule of activities to conclude around 2:45pm.
A temporary parking permit -- for use on your interview day only -- is attached to the email containing your
interview documents. Please print out the permit (in color if possible) and bring it with you to display on your
vehicle windshield. This permit allows you to park in any of the Patient Parking Lots. When pulling up to the
hospital; first look for parking in either Lots B or D. If unable to find parking there, then drive up to the front of
the hospital where valet parking is offered free to our patients and guests when lots are full.
In addition to your required interview day activities described above, we’d like to invite you to an optional
informal, resident-hosted “Get Acquainted Meet-and-Greet” scheduled for the evening before your interview
day, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 @ 5:30 PM. This is a chance to mingle with a few of our current residents in
a relaxed atmosphere and learn more about our program. Of course, we recognize that travel plans or other
commitments may make it impossible for you to attend. We have found from applicant feedback, however, that
informal chat-time with current residents is one of the most valuable activities we can offer to assist you in
assessing our Program. Yummy appetizers, good people, and good times! Information regarding the logistics
of the Meet-and-Greet will be sent to you 1-2 weeks prior to your interview. Your significant other, or other
guest, is welcome to the Meet-and-Greet.
We are also offering “2nd Looks” for those candidates who may wish to take a closer look at the ‘Day-in-the-
Life’ of our Residents. The 2nd Look day starts promptly at 8am with morning rounds and ends at 5pm after
Family Medicine Clinic. You may do a whole day or a half day; whichever suits your schedule. Each day can
accommodate 3 candidates at most. 2nd Looks will be offered through the end of January. To do so, please
contact us at 2ndLook@ccfamilymed.com.
For more info, you may also want to see our website at www.cchealth.org/residency. Again, we look forward
meeting you and introducing you to our program. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to
contact me.
Sincerely,
JoAnn Valencia
