Heat Posters

Purpose

Identify the three ways heat is transferred by making a poster that explains each method.

Assignment

Heat is transferred in three different ways:

 Conduction
 Convection
 Radiation

Your assignment is to draw three posters that demonstrate how heat is transferred. Your
poster must include:

 Title. What principal of heat transfer does your poster demonstrate?


 Define. Explain how heat is transferred through that method.
 Illustration. “Be able to draw an illustration as least well enough to get your point
across to another person.” Marilyn vos Savant. Draw an illustration that clearly
demonstrates the principle of heat transfer on your poster.

As you are doing this assignment, remember a quote from Albert Einstein – “You do not
really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother.” You are making
a poster for those who don’t understand the three ways heat is transferred.
