This Week’s Focus: Students will continue working with hundreds charts, number lines, base ten
blocks and other strategies in math to subtract up to two-digit numbers within 100. We will also
continue skip counting in multiple ways. Students will start our unit on place value. We will be
reading and doing activities with the theme of Thanksgiving this week. Students will wrap up our
weather unit this week in science. We will begin to study economics in social studies. Students will
continue working on narrative writing that includes a beginning, middle and ending. We will also
be working on informational pieces this nine weeks with topic sentences and supporting facts.
