Present Simple

In propozitiile afirmative, majoritatea verbelor adaugă -s la persoana a III-a singular: He walks. She sees.
It buzzes. He goes. ( kiss - kisses, finish

Verbele terminate în -y precedat de consoană, schimbă y în i şi adaugă -es: I try - he tries.

stop - stopping; refer - referring.
studying; play - playing, iar -ie final se transformă în -y: lie - lying; die - dying;
c) -e final se omite: have - having
Excepţii: agree - agreeing; be - being; see - seeing; dye - dyeing (a vopsi).
