Present Simple
In propozitiile afirmative, majoritatea verbelor adaugă -s la persoana a III-a singular: He walks. She sees.
Disinenţa devine -es când verbul se termină în ss, s, x, z, sh, ch, tch sau o: She watches. It buzzes. He goes. ( kiss - kisses, finish
- finishes, watch - watches, mix - mixes, go – goes)
Verbele terminate în -y precedat de consoană, schimbă y în i şi adaugă -es: I try - he tries.
