For this learning outcome, you will be required to brainstorm, research and
access information that will help you progress all four practical
skills needed within the film industry. This unit focuses around
you exploring the different techniques within each of these
areas and helping you to develop your skills.

The skills you will focus on are:

 Editing
 Camerawork
 Lighting
 Sound production

You will need to provide:

 A list of skills you believe you already have within each of these areas
 Research on each specialism
 What experience would be required to work in each area?
 Evidence of contact with working professionals to find out how they
entered their industry and the skills required to succeed
 A list of skills you would need to progress in each specialism
