Hart County High School is focused on integrating technology into classroom instruction. Teachers are also looking
for ways to formatively assess students during class sessions to be able to alter instruction in a timely manner. With both
of those goals in mind, Nearpod and Flipgrid were purchased to give teachers the ability to deliver more engaging content
and monitor understanding in real-time. Nearly all participants in this professional learning workshop will have little to no
prior experience with either program. The purpose of the training is to exposure teachers to these valuable tools, in
addition to preparing them to use Nearpod as the Digital Citizenship curriculum for this school year.

ISTE Standards:

tools for learning.

accommodate learner differences and needs.
6b. Manage the use of technology and student learning strategies in digital platforms, virtual environments, hands-on
makerspaces or in the field.
7a. Provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency and reflect on their learning using technology.
7b. Use technology to design and implement a variety of formative and summative assessments that accommodate
learner needs, provide timely feedback to students and inform instruction.
7c. Use assessment data to guide progress and communicate with students, parents and education stakeholders to
build student self-direction.

Learning Outcomes:
● Determine which formative assessment features would be most beneficial for their content area by exploring
