• Alabama is one of fifty states that together with Washington D.C.
form the United States of America.

• Its capital is Montgomery and its most populous city Birmingham.
•
• It is located in the South region of the country, Southeast Center
division.

• It limits to the north with Tennessee, to the east with Georgia -

the southern half of this limit forms the Chattahoochee River -,
to the south with Florida and the Gulf of Mexico, and to the west
with Mississippi. He was admitted to the Union on December 14,
1819 as the 22nd state.
