This product is designed and manufactured to meet strict quality and safety standard. This
manual is intended to provide advice and instructions to the operator and qualified service
personnel so that they can safely control the situations which can occur when the product is used,
and can carry out the required service and maintenance on the product.
This manual shall always be available with the equipment in order to guarantee that the
equipment can be used correctly and effectively.

1 Technical description
CNG series SuperdeckTM retractable loading platforms is a kind of
patented product developed by the leading platform technology expert
all over the world――Preston Australia Pty Limited and licensed the
exclusive rights of producing and selling in China and some other asia
country to GuangDong YeeHuaXing Construction Machinery
Manufacture Co.，Ltd..
CNG series SuperdeckTM retractable loading platforms is a unique
product to improve materials handling efficiency and safety for the
multi storey and high rise construction sectors. It offers a cost
effective method of delivering goods to different levels of a building
when used w i t h a crane. When goods are required to be delivered to a
particular floor level, all the platforms installed above that level can
be retracted, enabling the crane to operate unobstructed.
CNG series SuperdeckTM
retractable loading platforms
mainly consist of stationary
frame, moving frame and
adjustable support props. The
stationary frame is located on
the floor slab of the building and a “H” frame in
stationary frame is kept close to the slab edge; the
movable deck rolls in or out on the stationary frame by
the rollers fixed in the stationary frame and movable

deck. To receive the material, rolls the movable deck out of the building edge. If don’t use the
platform, retract the platform back. The adjustable support props support the platform between
the two floors by transforming the load to the ceiling.
Besides of above parts, there are the deck locking pin to lock the movable deck, side panels
with safety lanyard line and door adjustment, front end doors with door lock, safety chain for
longer loads.
A foot operated leveling ramp is provided to allow the trolley roll up the deck.
CNG series SuperdeckTM retractable loading platforms have four types: CNG22, CNG26,
CNG30 and CNG32 and the allowable maximum load capacity for uniform distribution load is
5t.
The sizes of CNG22 is designed to be able to transport with container.

2.1 Support props height
The standard props allow a minimum height of 2400mm and a maximum height of
3750mm.Consult your dealer or YHX and PRESTON for other special requirements. We can design
special props according to your requirements. Furthermore, CNG22, CNG26, CNG30, CNG32
can also be fixed to the concrete slab with bolt through slab.

2.2 Load cases
The maximum allowable safe working load varies according to the different load
distribution position. The maximum allowable safe working load for three load cases (showed in
Fig.3) are given in table 1. The maximum allowable safe working load for other load distribution
position can be calculated through interpolation method or consult your dealer and YHX or PRESTON.

2.3 Forces on the building
The deadweight and load of the loading platform apply to the ceiling and the concrete
slab by the support props or the fixing anchoring bolts. The forces on the ceiling or the slab
floor of the building can be provided as Fig.4.
When calculating the forces on the ceiling and floor from the loading platform, we used
following suppositions:
a) Assumed load always centered on deck;
b) Self weight of the loading platform is calculated as 330kg/m;
c) All loads are static loads, ie - no impact forces factored into the action forces;

d) All loads are working loads, ie - no load factors applied.
e) Horizontal forces not taken into account;
f) Reactions provided based on rigid supports, ie - effects of deflections of supporting

slabs not factored into design.
In the site condition, the “H” frame may keep a distance E from the slab edge, The forces
on the building for three distance “E” are listed in Table 2. According to the different distance
“E”, the different maximum allowable SWL are also listed in Table 2. The SWL corresponding
to SWL the different distance E are also painted in the H beam of the stationary frame.
Before installation of the superdecktm loading platform, make sure that the concrete slab and
the ceiling of the building must have enough strength to bear the forces RA, RB, RC from the
loading platform.
3 Transport
To transport the loading platform,
dismantle the support props and the top tie bar
firstly, then remove the door adjustment and
fix them on the movable deck. According to
Fig.2, fold the front end door and the side
panels and let the loading platform into folded

Insert two rear locking pin (Fig.5①) into
the rear locking hole in the H beam of the
stationary frame (Fig.5②).
Secure the rear tie bar (Fig.6, ③,④),
stack superdeck. Place SUPERDECK in a retracted

To stack superdeck load platforms, firstly make the load platform into folded configuration
according to the instructions in above chapter。
Place the platform in alternate directions, e.g. front to rear (see Fig.7) to prevent damage to
the folded side panels.
Place the bottom “H” frame（Fig.7⑤）to lay on the H beam of the lower platform and let the
bolt hole in upper platform align with lower one. Fasten SUPERDECK together by using 4-6 M16
bolts and nuts (see Fig.7).

WARNING
Secure all loose items on platform. No loose items on the deck of the platform.

5 Assembly
Before assembly of the superdeck loading platform, please read this
manual carefully at first. At the same time, the local safety regulations and
rules must also be understood. Prepare the necessary tools for assembly and

The assembly procedure of platform is as follow:
a) Clear the worksite for storage and assembly;
b) Lifting the stacked platforms from truck to ground by using suitable

crane or other tools.
c) Loose the M16 bolts fixed the platform together，Lifting the top one
platform of the stack and put on the ground。
d) Unfold the side panels（Fig.8,⑦and⑧）to vertical direction;
e) Fix 6×M16 locating bolts (Fig.8,⑨) for the side panels;
f) Close the front end doors(Fig.8,⑩,⑪) to vertical with side panel and
platform deck by adjusting the door adjustment(Fig.8,⑭) ;
g) Lock the door by door locking pin (Fig.8,⑫) and inserted bar
(Fig.8,⑬);
h) Fasten the 2-M16 bolt for the door adjustment（Fig.8,⑭）;
i) Erect the support props (Fig.8,⑮) and the top tie bar(Fig.8,⑯), insert
the jacks into the internal props.
j) Fix the handrails (Fig.8,⑰) and secure the handrail locks to side panel;
k) Pull the locking pin out of the rear locking hole in the H beam of the
stationary frame (Fig.5②) and unlock the movable deck;
l) Extend the movable deck to a full 8.5m length installation position and
insert two rear locking pins (Fig.5①)into the front locking hole in the
H beam of the stationary frame (Fig.5②).
m) Fix all components using M16 bolts, nuts and washers, secure all
components.
n) For the used- or old-equipment, must check it carefully to make sure it

in good condition. If there is any damage or rusty, repair it before use.

6 Installation
Before installation of the loading platform, please read this manual and the operation
instructions on the side panels of SUPERDECKTM loading platform carefully.
6.1 Lifting

A. On truck
a) Assembly the loading platform according
to the instructions in above chapter and
place the loading platform into retracted
position; make sure that the locking pins
(Fig.5①)were inserted into the rear locking
hole in the stationary frame (Fig.5②);
b) Four 6m long wire rope or chains are Fig.10 Hanging the chains
preferred for liftting. Hook the wire rope or
chains on 4 holes of the lifting lugs(see
Fig.10).
c) Lift flat or slightly tilting downward at the
propping end. Lift the platform off truck
and put on the plain ground.
B. On ground
a) Unlock the movable deck by pulling the
locking pin (Fig.8,①) out of the rear
locking hole of the stationary frame;
b) Extend the movable deck to a full 8.5m
length and lock the movable deck by

inserting the locking ping into the front
locking hole in the H beam of the

c) Lock all 4 locks ①　and　１８　on handrail
on rear of the side panels.
d) Make sure that the rear tie bar must be in
horizontal position and bolted;
e) Four 6m long wire rope or chains are
preferred for liftting. Hook the wire rope or
chains on 4 holes of the lifting lugs(see

f) Lift flat or slightly tilting downward at the
propping end . Lift the platform off truck
and put on the plain ground.
WARNING
Secure all loose items on platform. No loose items on the deck of the platform.
Don’t stand under the lifting platform.
6.2 Installation
a) Lift superdeck loading platform on 4 wire rope or chains to floor level desired;
b) Reset the rear end of superdeck loading platform on the slab floor as shown Fig.12a.
c) Extend and secure 2 rear internal props as shown Fig.12a.
d) Fasten the screw jacks and let the load of the loading platform be supported by the rear props.
e) After make sure that 2 rear props are secured, release 2 rear chains or wire rope so that
superdeck loading platform is lifted on 2 front chains or wire rope only as shown in Fig.12b.
f) Make sure that the front chains take the weight and release rear props.
g) Tilt up susperdeck slightly downward at rear and upward a height at front(see Fig.12b).

h) Place 2 rollers on floor 500-1000mm distance from the rear end of the loading platform under
the H beams of the stationary frame as shown Fig.12b. The roller is about 50mm diameter and
400mm length preferred;
i) Place the front end of the loading platform downward until the loading platform becomes level
and the weight of rear end of the platform is support on the roller;
j) With the superdeck loading platform on only 2 chains, move superdeck inwards on rollers.
k) Push superdeck inwards until “H” frame touches the edge of floor slab.
l) Lift slightly the front end of the platform upward a height and let the front end of the platform
touch the floor until the roller pipes separate the H beam. Remove the rollers;
m) Place the platform on the slab floor and adjust the platform level;
n) Extend the internal props and tighten four props securely with M24 bolts. The props must be
plumb 90°with the “H” beam of the stationary frame.
o) Fasten the four screw jacks to loak the props in a vertical position between the floor and the
ceiling and make sure that the load and weight are supported by the four props.
p) Fix the top tie bars between props(see Fig.8,⑯)
q) Fully secure all locks, bolts and other safety requirements.
r) Unbolt the rear tie bar in middle and lift 90°(upright) and bolt in locating hole in beam using
the 2 bolts from the middle connection.
s) After be sure of everything correct, release lifting chains.
7 Dismantle
For the dismantle, reverse the procedure of installation.

8 Operation
8.1 Regulations and requirements for operation
a) Before using this equipment, the operators must carefully read this manual and the operation
instructions found on a plate on the side panel;
b) Personnel involved in the installation, dismantlement and using of the superdeck loading
platform must be trained by the authorized department. All local regulations and the
instructions in this manual should be complied.
c) Personnel who use, install and maintain the equipment must put the crash helmet, safe belt and
other safety equipment or tools.
d) Don’t use excessive force to extend and retract the platform.
e) Never overload the platform;
f) Don’t roll superdeck loading platform in or out with load in it.
g) Use minimal adjustable jack extension.
h) The load in the loading platform should be put on the movable deck as close as possible to the
building slab and the centre of the deck.
i) In general, "H" frame should touch the slab edge. If this is impossible, the maximum allowable
safe working load (SWL) should be reduced according to the instruction on the section 2.2 or
the load sign painted on the H beam of the stationary frame.
j) The doors must be closed at all times except for long loads. At this situation, use the chain for
safety.
k) When loading or unloading goods on the platform, always place the goods gently and avoid
shock load, don’t crash platform.
l) The platform should be fully retracted when wind speed exceeds 20m/s.;
m) Keep decks and beams are clean, Ensure the platform surfaceis free from grease to prevent
worker slipping.

n) Inspect the platform periodically in accordance with local legislation requirement, report any
damage or loose components.
8.2 Operation procedure
8.2.1 To retract the platform
a) Release the locking pins (Fig.5①) on the movable
deck(Fig.5②);
b) Press the operation mechanism to raise the leveling
ramp by foot(Fig.13). (if need to put down the ramp,
just press the front of the ramp by foot).

c) Roll superdeck in using push/pull bar on side panel;
d) Relocate the locking pins(Fig.5①) from the front
locking holes to the rear locking holes in the H beam of
the stationary frame (Fig.5②).
8.2.2 To extend the platform
a) Release the locking pins (Fig.5①) on the movable deck(Fig.5②);
b) Press the operation mechanism to raise the leveling ramp by foot(Fig.13). (if need to put down
the ramp, just press the front of the ramp by foot).
e) Roll superdeck out using push/pull bar on side panel;
f) Relocate the locking pins(Fig.5①) from the rear locking holes to the front locking holes in the
H beam of the stationary frame (Fig.5②).

9 Operation instruction on platform

On the side panel of each CNG series superdecktm, an operation instruction sheet can be found. If
the sheet was lost or damaged, a copy of following sign can be used.
