Note: This quotation is for a pilot who begins with zero experience and
wishes to complete a Commercial Pilot License with a Multi Engine Rating
and Instrument Rating.

Flight Briefings are one on one and cost R 180.00 per hour.
Lectures are for groups of students and cost R 80.00 per hour

Note: The Sling2 is a 700kg (not LSA) non-type certified aircraft, fully accepted by the South
African Civil Aviation Authority for all flight requirements towards any license. It is also accepted
by the Civil Aviation Authorities of all Western Nations including U.S.A, Canada, U.K., Australia,
New Zealand, France, Germany etc. For some reason Kenya, South Korea and India do not accept
it, and therefore those students are forced to fly the technologically inferior, older, less reliable,
more expensive Cessna 152 or Piper Cherokee. During 2018 the Sling2 will have EASA type
certification and then all students will be able to enjoy its benefits. The price lists below are for
the Sling2 aircraft. If you can accept only Cessna 152 or Piper Cherokee, then please request a
quote for those aircraft in particular.
Due to the latest requirements of the SACAA, we have had to re-introduce simulator training as
well as Line Orientated Flight Training (LOFT) in our Training Program.

time, however if the candidate requires additional training to meet the required standard,
additional costs will be incurred at the per hour rate as indicated at the top of the page.

Please note the SACAA exam, licensing, courier fees and Aviation Medical listed below.

This quote does not include living expenses and provisions for this should be arranged with your
sponsor before arrival.

Please be advise that the first initial payment to the school account should be R 7 000.00 and
R 5 000.00 is to be kept as a retainer in your school account before training can commence. The
retainer can either be used to complete your test at the end or transferred as a refund to your
personal account on completion of your training.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

Below are the costs regarded to be non-training related, as they are part of each student’s
personal licensing, exams, aviation medical, equipment and accommodation requirements. A full
break-down of these costs are provided below in order to create the most comprehensive
picture of all the costs involved.
FINAL FLIGHT TEST WITH DESIGNATED EXAMINER FOR CPL

Once the student has completed his/her 200 hours of training they may hire the Piper Twin
Comanche from the school for their flight test. The typical cost for the flight test is as follows:
