Mrs. Overmyer’s Station
Read the students, The Runaway Pancake. Then, pair students and give each pair a set of pictures. Encourage students to
work together to put the pictures in order from the beginning of the story to the end. Prompt them when needed and
check their answers when they are done. The correct sequence order is below.

Sequence Order:
1. Making the pancake
2. Pancake running away
3. Dog chases the pancake
4. Rabbit chases the pancake
5. Duck chases the pancake
6. Cat chases the pancake
7. Goat chases the pancake
8. Fox chases the pancake
9. Pancake escapes on the kite
10. The pig eats the pancake

Mr. Fugate’s Station:

Each student in the group will be given a flyswatter and a set of sight words for each student. You will name a sight word
and students will slap the word. When a student misses a word, write the word down they missed and confused it with on
a paper next to their name.

choose from)
 Group Members: Kara, Isaac, Maliki, and Dayton (only put two of the sight words in front of them to choose
from)

 Group Members: Aalyiah, Addison, Trevor, and Addi (only put 4 words in front of them to choose from)
