Make a reservation:
A: Welcome to Viet Pho restaurant. How can I help you?
B: Hello! I’d like to make a reservation at 7:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
A: How many people do you book?
B: 25 people. We plan to hold a Christmas party for my class.
A: You want to use a shared hall or private room?
B: Can you advise me please?
A: Sure, sir. We have VIP rooms to serve a group or a company. A VIP
room can accommodate up to 35 people. If you use this room, your
friends will feel more comfortable. You can chat and eat naturally. You
may also ask for adjust the sound àn light if necessary without affecting
the people around.
B: Very good. I’d like reserve a VIP room.
A: Excuse me. On Christmas day, we only have one VIP rooms on the
ground floor and one room on the third floor. What room do you want to
book?
B: I would like to book a room on the ground floor.
A: And under what name?
B: George Smith.
A: The dining room you reserved is the room number 5.
Can you give me your telephone number, please? We want confirm about
your decision. We’ll call you to confirm in the next 3 days.
B: It’s ok! My telephone number is 0966566732.
A: Thank you! We’ll see you at 7:00 on Christmas Eve.

2. Ordering a meal
A: Hi, there. What can I help you?
B: Humm. Do you have any specials?
A: Today, our restaurant invites some Japanese chef. He cooks dilicious
Japanese food such as sushi, sashimi, shabu - shabu and some types of
Japanese noodles.
B: Excuse me, this is the first time my family have eat the Japanese food.
Can you tell me what Sushi is.
A: No problem. Sushi usually cut into rings, used immediately after being
served, and served with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.
B: Greatly. But is Sushi a live dish?
A: Yes sir
B: Oh. My mother and my young brother don’t eat the live dish. Do you
have anything else?
A: Ok then, I recommend some types of Japanese. You can eat Udon
noodles, Ramen noodles or Soba noodles. They are dilicious.
B: Sound good. You give me two bowls of ramen noodes.
A: Can I get you anything else?
B: Uhm. What is the Shuba-Shuba.
A: Shuba-Shuba is a hot pot but the main ingredient is beef. Beef is very
fresh and quality. They are cut into very thin slices. You can dip these
pieces of meat in hot water and eat when it is slightly pale.
B: Good idea! You prepare me this dish with two bowls of ramen noodle.
Can you give us some water please?
A: Sure. I’ll have those out shortly.
B: Thank you.
3. Paying the bill
B: Excuse me, could we have our bill, please?
A: Yes, I’ll bring it right away. Here’s your bill.
B:(open your bill) Thank you. My total is 167$. Hmm.
A: I’ll take it whenever you’re ready.
B: Oh. Sorry. I didn’t bring enough cash. Can I pay with credit card?
A: Of course,We will pay you by card.

A: I have to go to the cashier counter to swipe your card. Does your card

A: I know. We are in the 1st floor of the mall. There has restaurants,
coffee shops and furniture stores.
B: Do you know where to sell clothes?
A: If you want to buy clothes, you should go to level 3 or level 4. There
has a lot of clothing stores. All of the shops belong to famous fashion
houses in Vietnam such as The Blue Exchange, Ganifa, Elise, etc.
B: Great. Where can I buy office dresses?
A: You can buy it in Elisa Shop. This shop specializes in selling clothing
according to the fashion of the office.
B: Can you guide me to that store?
A: Sure. Now you go to the elevator and press the 4th floor. You step out
of the elevator and go to the left. You go through 3 clothing stores. Elisa
Shop. You see the Elisa store at the top of the second corridor.
B: Thanks. It’s very nice of you.
A: It’s my pleasure.
B: Goobye

5. Talking with a clerk
A: May I help you?
B: Yes. I’m looking for a pair of shoes.
A: What you size, please?
B: My leg size is about 39.
A: What color do you like?
B: Red or blue.
A: We have some quality shoes like Nike, Adidas, Puma. They all have
two colors that you like.
B: Great. Can you show me?

A: That is a blue Nike Shoes.
B: How much is it?
