Reflection for the Audio Narrative

Assignment 3

The distinction about the audio documentary over video, is that the
audience can have a more space to imagine the people who are talking in the
audio. Also, it must have a strong narrative because there is a cause behind the
topic. The audio narrative shows that there is a solid story behind it. It was a
huge learning process for us; we were astonished by the answers of the different
generations we were able to interview. Not to mention that the information that
we were able to gather from the research about the transformation of the
currency made us understand more about the topic. The value of the one
Egyptian Pound (EGP) in the beginning of the 21st century was huge. We found
out that the 1 EGP was equal 0.35 American Dollar(USD). On the other hand,
1USD equals 18 EGP.We interviewed our grandparents, parents, siblings and
friends. As we were listening to our grandparents, we were surprised that in the
1970s their salary was around 17-25 EGP; and this was considered a lot. On the
other hand, our siblings and friends starting salary is 5000+ EGP. Finally, all of
the interviews were surprising for us as they show different perceptions of the
people towards the use of money.
