Menu
Appetizers (30 Points)
Level 1 (From Book)

1 TWO FOLDABLES: Create TWO FOLDABLES to define the following vocabulary words; macromolecule, monomer, polymer,
carbohydrate, lipid, protein, amino acid, nucleic acid, nucleotide (ORIGAMI) (i.e., 3- or 4-Flap Matchbook or 4-Corner Mini-Book).
Must have: Coloring and illustration/pictures.

2 Create a concept map (DIGITAL POPPLET® MIND MAP option) by using the define the following vocabulary words; macromolecule,
monomer, polymer, carbohydrate, lipid, protein, amino acid, nucleic acid, nucleotide.

3 FLASHCARD SET (DIGITAL OPTION): Create a SET OF QUIZLET® FLASHCARDS for the following vocabulary words; macromolecule,
monomer, polymer, carbohydrate, lipid, protein, amino acid, nucleic acid, nucleotide. You may make non-digital flashcards (Index card) or
use an alternate digital flashcard application. Must have: Coloring and illustration/pictures.

4 Create a Product Cube with vocabulary words. 6 sides; should have the following: (Side 1) macromolecule, (Side 2) monomer, polymer
(Side 3) carbohydrate (Side 4) Lipid (Side 5) Proteins, amino acids (Side 6) nucleic acid, nucleotide
Must have: Coloring and illustration/pictures.

5 Scrapbook of the following vocabulary words; macromolecule, monomer, polymer, carbohydrate, lipid, protein, amino acid, nucleic acid,
nucleotide (digital presentation or paper collage) highlighting the (page 1) macromolecule, (page 2) monomer, polymer
(page 3) carbohydrate, (page 4) Lipid (page 5) Proteins, amino acids (page 6) nucleic acid, nucleotide.
Must have: Color(ing), illustration/pictures, at least 3 sentences explaining the topic on each page.
Side Dishes Level 2 (From Book and You) (40 Points)
1 Create a Compare and Contrast Graphic organizer about the macromolecules. Make one graphic organizer for the following macromolecules:
Carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic Acids. Each topic needs to have at least 4 sentences and colored/printed pictures. Ask your teacher to
provide you the graphic organizer:

2 Create a Google Slide Presentation that compares and contrasts the characteristics of Macromolecules. Make one slide for each of the following:
General information about macromolecules, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Each topic needs to have at least 4 sentences and colored
pictures.

3 Make a commercial for each macromolecule. You must include: what makes each macromolecule unique, functions of the each macromolecule, what
food sources contain each macromolecule, visual representation of each macromolecule. You must get permission to record your commercial from
the teacher.

4 Make a poster for the macromolecules. The poster must include general information about macromolecules, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic
acids. Each topic needs to have at least 4 sentences and colored pictures.

5 Write ONE newspaper articles explaining the macromolecules.

6 Create a news broadcast (video) explaining the macromolecules.

Entrees Level 3 (From book and You) (30 Point)

1 Create News Paper ADVERTISEMENT (DIGITAL OPTION): Create a PIC-COLLAGE® ADVERTISEMENT advertising each macromolecules.

2 Create a paper or Kahoot Quiz (Digital Option) includes at least four questions about each macromolecules

3 Create one informative cartoon for each macromolecules .Must be your own work and include a meaningful caption.

4 FIVE QUESTIONS/FOUR ANSWERS: Create 2 SETS OF FIVE QUESTIONS/FOUR ANSWERS (5Q/4A) for macromolecules. Ask your teacher to
provide you sample question guide.

5 Write a children’s book explaining the macromolecules. Think of a 3rd grade student--simple language!! Must include: colorful pictures/illustrations
and age appropriate language.

Dessert Level 4 (Enrichment/Extra Credit/Homework)

1 Draw a colored model of the each macromolecule in a A4 paper.

2 Make a 3D model of one of the macromolecules.
