CORRELATION OF MOTHER’S KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NURTITION

INTAKE WITH HYPERTENSION INCIDENT ON PREGNANT MOTHER

IN COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC TEMINDUNG SAMARINDA

ABSTRACT
Background: One of the cause pregnacny hypertension happened was nutrition intake.
Low eating pattern because lack of knowledge also antenatal care service correlated with
hypertension and pre-eclamsy incident on pregnant mother. Good knowledge about
nutrition intake was one of efort to overcome and prevent the incident of blood pressure
increasing on pregnant mother in the end it could help to reduce mother mortality rate.
Reserach Aim: to know the correlation of mother’s knowledge about nutrition with
hypertension incident on pregnant mother in Community Health Clinic Temindung.
Method : This reserach method was Cross Sectional. Sample collection was done with
incidental sampling, with total sample were 44 respondents. Data collection technique
used research questionnaire. Data process and analysis used univariate analysis with
frequency distribution and bivariate analysis used chi square test.
Result : Correlation analysis between pregnant mother about nutrition intake with
hypertension incident in Community Health Clinic Temindung with chi square test with
significant level α = 0,05% p-value = 0,007 <0,05, with result that H0 was rejected. It
meant there was significant correlation statistically between correlation of pregnant
mother about nutrition intake with hypertension incident in Community Health Clinic
Temindung.
Conclusion: there was significant correlation statistically between pregnant mother’s
knowledge about nutrition intake with hypertension incident in Community Health Clinic
Temindung.
