This Week’s Focus: Students will continue working with hundreds charts, number lines, base ten
blocks and other strategies in math to subtract up to two-digit numbers within 100. We will also
continue skip counting in multiple ways. Students will continue our unit on place value. We will be
reading and doing activities with the theme of Thanksgiving this week. Students will begin to study
economics in social studies. We will continue working on narrative writing that includes a
beginning, middle and ending. Students will also be working on informational pieces this nine
weeks with topic sentences and supporting facts.
