Congratulations! You have been chosen to work in a radio programme! The programme is
broadcasted in Duque Radio, and this is going to be an interview programme, in which you will
have the big honour to interview very famous people, historical people.
PROCESS
1.- To begin with, you will be organized into groups of two students, so that one member of the
group will be the interviewer (the journalist) and the other members are going to be the
celebrity. (Famous people, in this case, from history…)
2.- After that, you must think what is an interview. In order to get that, it will be helpful to look at
this web in which you can see the different parts of an interview. H e r e y o u h a v e t w o w e b s

and here you have one in Spanish:

3.- Once you know how to make an interview what you have to do is to research, to know
thoroughly the people we are going to interview. In this case, the whole group has to find out
about the famous person or celebrity. The journalist will say what are the best and most interesting
questions, so that the audience of the radio programme will be interested.
As this is going to be a radio programme, I suggest you to listen to several of these podcast in
English or in Spanish, in which you can listen how real interviews are. This is in Spanish, from
Radio Nacional de España, the interviwee is Juan Luis Arsuaga, (Paleontólogo y además el
Director del yacimiento de Atapuerca): Entrevista a Juan Luis Arsuaga
THE PRODUCT
The interview must be recorded and submitted to the teacher, (mp3 format if possible), because
the programme will be played weekly in the class. The rest of the class will be the audience of
the programme. This will have an approximate length of 5-7 minutes (up to 10 minutes) How to
record it? There are several possibilities:
1.- Every computer has a tool called sound recorder, that you can use for this purpose. ( If you
want to add music at the beginning, it can´t be played in the same computer )
2.- If you want something more professional and well-prepared, you can use Audacity. You can
download it here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/?lang=es
Here you have some of the best websites to find information about these historical people.
Nevertheless you can look for information wherever you want. You just must be careful and make
sure your information is reliable.
