Middle School

TITLE: Creating a class website using Weebly

Brief Overview of the Unit:


The purpose of this lesson is to teach educators how to easily set up a class website using Weebly. I will
demonstrate how to set up a website and how to create and delete pages. I will also teach the educators how to
add elements to their websites such as pictures, documents, files, and more. By the end of the professional
development lesson the educators should have the beginnings of a class website and a basic understanding of how
to add the necessary elements.

Stage 1: Desired Results


Objectives:
Objective 1: To create a Weebly account
1A. Sign up for a Weebly account using a school e-mail address
1B. Create a domain name
1C. Add/delete pages as needed
1D. Change theme header text and background images

Objective 2: To add images to a Weebly site


2A. Add single images to use as individual pictures or to create a custom gallery
2B. Add multiple images using the gallery feature to create a gallery
2C. Add multiple images to create a slideshow

Objective 3: To add documents and files to a Weebly site


3A. Add documents for viewing using Scribd Document
3B. Add files for download
3C. Add YouTube videos
