Nationalism, historically, a modern concept dating from the 18th century, is a political,
particular nation, especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining sovereignty over
the homeland. Nationalism, defined variously, can be a belief of the citizen, has been an
developed in the reign of Bharata, Ashoka, British East India Company. Often, Nationalism
has been defined in the attire of cast, creed, race and most importantly religion. Vinayak
Damodar Savarkar coined the term Hindutva, Indian Nationalism, developed during the
Indian Independence Movement. Hindutva, the Indian ideology of nationalism formed Hindu
Nationalist Bodies like the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. True
Nationalism Spirit, shown by Netaji, Bhagat Singh, Tipu Sultan, Lala Lajpat Rai united the
Indians.This very Nationalism became the base of The political identity of the Indian
National Congress. The Statue of Unity, a statue of Indian statesman and founding father,
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, world's tallest statue, is the eminent example of Nationalism.
