My Morning

Name:
Supplies:
● 2' Three Ring Binder
● Laminating Sheets/Laminator
● Clear Velcro Strips
● Scissors/Paper Cutter

Directions:
Assembly: Print out pages on regular copy paper. Laminate each sheet. Cut out the individual objects as marked on the appropriate pages indicated
by the words 'laminate and cut'. Place velcro on the coordinating objects.

Use: This binder is designed to be an interactive experience between the teacher and the student.

Colors/Shapes/Sizes: Have your child identify the different colors/objects then match the coordinating crayon/objects to the appropriate worksheet.
Alphabet: Use this worksheet to teach your child their letter sounds (Use the short vowel sounds for a, e, i, o, and u). You can also have them
practice letter recognition by matching the letters.
Letter recognition: Have your child practice their letter recognition by matching letters. The letters in here include common confusions like d and
b, t and f,
and c and o.
Vowels: Introduce the short vowel sounds. Have them match the letters then find the picture with the coordinating vowel sounds. (Short vowel
sounds)
Numbers and Counting:Practicing number recognition and counting 1-10
Patterns: Briefly explain a pattern. Have your child duplicate the pattern given. Then take all the pieces off and have them create their own pattern.
Matching: Identify the types of fruit and then have fun matching them.
Calendar: Teach your child the days of the week and have them identify 'today, yesterday, and tomorrow'. Also, introduce the different months in
the year. Show them a calendar and discuss the current month you are in. (For extra help, sing the calendar songs available.)
Weather/seasons: Discuss the weather and appropriate clothing and accessories to choose. Take this time to match the seasons and discuss their
differences.
Phone Number:Write your phone number in the slots BEFORE you laminate. Teach your child this number and give him/her ideas of when he/she
might need to use it.
Clock/time: Have your child put the numbers on the analog clock. Discus the long and short hand. Find the times. Give them a time and have them
identify it by using the long and short hands.
Money: Identify the US coins and their value. Place the appropriate designated amount the piggy banks.
Skip Counting: Practicing counting by fives and by tens. Have them put the numbers in order. (You can also print out more coins and have them
count using nickles and dimes.
Five senses: Have your child identify their five senses then match the pictures to the worksheet
Flower parts: Have your child identify the basic parts of a flower.
