COMMENTS:

I had Connor as a student in U.S. history and AP government. Connor excelled in both classes. His work
was outstanding, and he added tremendously to the class discussions. He was able to articulate his
opinions and support with important evidence. I was impressed with his maturity in his openness in
listening to others whose opinions differed with his own.
Connor was also in Student Council which I advised. Connor was a valuable member of the Student
Council. He never missed meetings, and he was always first to volunteer when work had to be done. I
could always count on him to complete any task given to him whether it was coordinating activities
that helped the community like our coat drive or being responsible for a student pep assembly.
In addition, I watched Connor as an active member of various school activities including Quiz Bowl,
Youth in Government, and the Drama Department. Throughout his high school career, Connor showed
a keen interest in growing as a student and as an individual.
Connor is a worthy candidate for your scholarship, and I respectfully request that you seriously
consider his application.
