ST – Mastery 35%

Strategies Planned
  Demonstration ( Going over 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication turtle head math method
with student help in front of the class, Showing the layers of the Earth using a model)
  Hands-on experience (Creating a model of the Earth’s layers, Earthquake Experiment,
Volcano Experiment)
  Direct instructions (Layers of the Earth and Earthquakes, Volcanos and the Ring of
Fire)
  Drill and Repletion (Students solve various examples of 2-digit by 2-digit
multiplication, Students will solve various examples of finding main idea in text)

Multiple Intelligences fostered

  Body/Kinesthetic – Building circuits and electromagnets and conducting experiments
  Logical/Mathematical—Student will think critically about how to solve and explain
different multiplication problems.

SF – Interpersonal 35%

Strategies Planned
  Group experiences and working with others (student will work in small groups for the
math stations, Earthquake experiment, volcano experiment)
  Chances to share ideas with other students and present ideas to the class (Students will
share answers and thoughts with others and the class)
  Students are learning about how changes on the earth affect changes to earth’s surface.
  I will check in with all student on their understanding of the content and encourage
them to expain their learning.

Multiple Intelligences fostered

  Musical/Rhythmic – Main Idea Rap
  Interpersonal – Working in small groups at stations and on experiments.
  Verbal/Linguistic – Students will communicate through writing, reading, and verbal
exchange. Students will create models of the Earth’s layers and use them to identify the
different layers.

NI - Understanding 20%
Strategies Planned
  Relating and connecting different ideas in electricity (through discussion)
  Students are able to work independently on main idea matching and reading response
activities.
  Students are able to create their own Earth Layers Model independently

Multiple Intelligences fostered

  Intrapersonal – Science journaling activity in one lesson, recording ideas
  Verbal/Linguistic – Presenting new ideas and creations to the class

NF – Self-expressive 10%
Strategies Planned
  Discussion and chance to ask questions during instruction
  Discovery learning (Earthquake Experiment, Volcano Experiment)
  Creating hypotheses (In science Lessons)
  Will be discussing how different Natural Disasters (volcanos and earthquakes) to see
how they can affect the Earth’s Surface

Multiple Intelligences fostered

  Logical/Mathematical – creating hypotheses and conducting experiments
  Visual/Spatial – Creating models of the Earth’s layers
  Naturalist – discuss how natural disasters will affect the environment
