beginning of the church calendar with the announcement & arrival of Christ.
Worship: a time to connect with God through song and prayer.
We invite you to stand and sing with us as we praise God through Sunday, December 2nd - First Sunday of Advent

Offering: We give tithes and offerings as a part of worship in 6:00pm Christmas Together
obedience, celebration, and thanksgiving to the Lord. It’s also just
our way of saying, “We love our church and we want to support it!”
If you are a guest, you are not expected or obligated to give.
Children: We have a fully-staffed Nursery for ages three and NURSERY WORKERS
below. Kids ages 4-12 will be dismissed during the service to the TODAY:

CHILDREN’S ANNOUNCEMENTS:
During Advent, our worship services are designed with the
whole family in mind. So families may worship together, there
will be no Children’s Church during the month of December.

Christmas Gift Bags--
Once again, we will be giving Christmas gift bags
to men and women serving time in Franklin
County. Last year we were able to give them a
pair of socks, bar of soap, individual bag of chips, and a snack cake.
You can be a part of this by making a donation to the jail ministry. Just
mark “jail ministry” in the memo line on your check and place in the
offering plate. There are around 250 inmates. Your donations are
greatly appreciated.

MICAH 6:8 MINISTRY from Sandy Schefcik
Did you know… that Tennessee has a law that enables individuals
previously convicted of many misdemeanors and certain low level felonies
the opportunity to have their criminal records fully expunged? This law is
aimed at those that were convicted of relatively minor non-violent offenses
but have since lived law-abiding lives. Once an expungement is entered,
the person can lawfully possess and carry a firearm. This is a significant
part of the law which restores Second Amendment rights for those who had
certain prior felony convictions. The law took effect on July 1, 2012. The
law requires, among other things, that the person file a petition in the
county court where they were convicted of such offense. The petitioner
cannot have convictions in any other state or federal court other than the
ones that they are petitioning to expunge. The petitioner is required to have
paid all fines, restitution, and court costs. The full list of such eligible
offenses are included within Tennessee Code Annotated 40-32-101(g)(1)
(A) as amended. Expungement is also available for those convicted of
misdemeanors with the exception of many misdemeanors that involve
physical force, minors, sexual offenses, and deadly weapons.
