SCOPE OF WORK
Musanada is intended to develop the design of roads and infrastructure facilities at Sector (SW17)
in Khalifa City. The site is located in Khalifa City. The 11 kV, 0.4kV and FOC network to be
Constructed in accordance with ADDC/ADWEA regulations and will be handed over to ADDC after
construction.
The scope of works includes site /route survey, Construction NOC, Supply, Installation, Testing,
Commissioning, Warranty services and Handing over of MV and LV networks in satisfactory condition
as per tender BOQ, drawings and ADDC specification. The scope comprises of the following.
1) Supply, installation and commissioning of 11/0.415kV pre cast Distribution Substation with
earthing, lightning protection, and lighting, firefighting, civil works and DMS integration.

1.0 Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning Works of 11kV/0.415kV Pre Cast
Distribution Substations.
The Scope of Works includes Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of three (3) 2x1000kVA
11kV/0.415kV pre-cast substation including earthing, lightning protection, lighting, firefighting, civil
foundation, and architectural works and DMS integration to DMS Center with the following equipment
for MV network.

1.4.3 Lightning Protection

For lightning protection the following general features shall be provided and installed in
accordance with IEC 61024-1, 61312-3, 61663-1 and BS 6651 or equivalent standards.
Termination points shall be installed on the surface of all building roofs. No part of the roofs
shall be far away from the nearest horizontal protective conductor by more than 10 m.
Salient points of structures shall be incorporated. All metallic projections such as air
conditioning cabins, vent pipes, railings, gutters, steel constructions, antenna, etc. on or above
the surfaces of the roofs shall be connected to the above mentioned network, or shall be used as
part of the protective system.
