Math 1060
Class Reflection
Math 1060 Reflection

I have taken this course before and it has not been so applicable as it I see it now. To
be specific some things I learned was the concepts of the Unit Circle and it surprised me many
times it was used throughout the course. It was also interesting to learn about Sine and Cosine
and Tangent graphs; all the trigonometry concepts were so interlinked. Looking back at how this
will apply to the real world, it has/will be useful in solving how to make safe building structures,
road layouts, home building and so much more. Each part of trigonometry complex equations
help for one to understand how the world works in solving difficult questions.

How this trigonometry class applies to my future Chemistry career, it would apply as I
would need these concepts of angles to help to maybe determine speeds of chemical reactions
and what angle that they would react with each other. I am not sure what the procedure of this
would be, though in my chemistry lectures there is a indication of what would happen but we are
not far along to determine that. I do know that it will continue to apply to future classes I take in
mathematics in preparation to my Chemistry degree. And the more I learn and apply now in my
school work the better I will understand it as it to apply in my career. I am also hoping on
working to applying my Chemistry degree into a research field and there are a whole wide
variety of ways I can test for certain worlds problems and trigonometry can be a key in helping
support the tests that I will make.

Some specific instances that this trigonometry class applies to my career is when we
learned about vectors, vectors can help to show very specific data of where a certain will end up
in respect to the data given. As said in the previous paragraph this knowledge will help to know
where certain chemicals reaction with each other and why based on their orientation. Also as
we did a project in this class, we can apply the Law of Sines and Cosines to find where certain
treasure spots were to lie when the reference point was gone. This can apply to my career to
help to determine where a chemical will react with respect with the other reactant. There is
specific Chemistry that applies this concept, I am not sure of it at the moment since it is far from
what I know at this moment.

In conclusion, this course will be very useful in my future career and in the making of the
world that we know today even better. With more intelligent minds working on learning
trigonometry, its concepts will help solve the world's questions on building structures and
scientific reactions and so forth. I hope to remember the rules that make this class so
interwoven so that my future math encounters are more sweet.
