Discusion Text of Test Center

Nowadays, the system of examination to join university has already changed. On

October, 15th 2018, Ristedikti held the conference pers and declared that the system of
examination to join university changed from SBMPTN become Test Center or UTBK. Test
center apply HOTS and based on computer. The system applied in the various countries,
for example America and now Indonesia will apply. This has become a conversation among
students and educator figures causes different opinions.

On the plus side, test center will minimize the leakage at the test. Following the
statement of Muh. Nasir (Kemenristek) "the test center will minimize the leakege at the
test, the cost of the budget, and maximize service." In addition, the students believe that
the test center give more opportunity than SBMPTN in 2018, because in a year the student
can take the test twice. Hopefully, the test center can reach remote areas with the program
of android which is being developed.

However, for every plus there is a minus. For one thing, not all people are
technology literate, especially students in rural areas. That will certainly make difficult for
them in the process of taking the exam. Moreover, working a test on a computer feels
unsatisfying by some students because it can't be marked. Besides, in Indonesia, computer
limitations can also be one reason.

In conclusion, this serious decision of Kemendikbud must have been surely

estimated from that pros and cons. We should be able to figure and make it to as something
that we can put more spirit in. We should prepare all of our arms of knowlegde to face the
reality. If we start some task with being happy and sincere, of course we can do our best to
make our dreams comes true.
