In the recently concluded 2018 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), oneStore
Marketplace Exhibit featured the SETUP-assisted products from Western Visayas which
include tablea producrts from Sunburst Balay Tablea, muscovado sugar from Antique
Federation of Cooperative Credit Unions Incorporated (AFFCUI), PURO Organic Coffee
produced in Negros Occidental, Turmeric, Ginger and Lemongrass Tea produced by Al Di
Foods, and Guimaras Dried Mango from Trappist Monastic Food Products.

Presenting you the crispy shrimp produced by Jocyl’s
Food Products. This product was sold out in the first
day and several people were asking where to buy the
product.

Aside from these products, DOST VI also showcased products from different SMEs in
Region 6:
Tamagos Confectioneries, Palmac Food Products, Hora Store, Jocyl’s Food Products,
Arlene’s Banana Chips, Felicita's Delicacies, JAF Handicrafts & Piña Industry, Fruit of Life
Enterprise, and Trims Foods.

The exhibit for this year’s NSTW simulates an ecosystem of how STI work together for the
progress of a community. Technologies developed by the DOST and its attached agencies,
as well as its partners, displays for the first time via interactive displays in four clusters
namely: STI at Home, STI in School, STI in the Workplace and STI in the Marketplace.

The NSTW is celebrated every third week of July through Proclamation No. 169 of 1993. It
aims to recognize the contribution of science and technology in the development of the
country and garner support from the public and private institutions for its sustainable
development.
