NIV - My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke because the
Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

LB - Young man, do not resent it when God chastens and corrects you, for his punishment is
proof of his love. Just as a father punishes a son he delights in to make him beEer, so the Lord

discipline our students in love. Many ?mes it is easier to turn a blind eye to a misbehavior, but
