Title Pronombres Relativos

Summary of the Lesson Students will be introduced to the
grammatical concept of relative pronouns via
*Sociocultural Theory (Vygotky) a prepared PPT presentation. After the teacher
*Elaboration Theory (Reigeluth) describes each relative pronoun and provides
an example, students will work together to
form their own sentence using the pronoun
and rules described. Once all 10 relative
pronouns have been described and practiced,
students will complete and turn in an exit
ticket with questions containing choices from
today’s lesson.

Procedure BEFORE:

DURING:
 The teacher will begin the lesson by
asking students what relative pronouns
are in English.
 Working with and building off of their
responses, the teacher will use the PPT
to explain what they are and how they
are used in Spanish.
 The teacher will first introduce the two
most common, que and quien,
followed by rules and examples for
using them.
 After each pronoun, quien and que,
students will stop and take one minute
to construct their own sentence
modeling the ones from above. Each
group will share their sentence aloud
and all group members will be
expected to write their example into
their notes.
 The teacher will continue to introduce
each of the 10 relative pronouns in
progressive complexity while having
students create sentences modeling the
example.
AFTER:
 Students will complete an exit ticket
with several sentences including
choices for the correct relative
pronoun.
 Students will be provided with a link
for additional self-correcting practice
resources.
Formative Assessment Correcting and providing feedback to student
generated sentences.
