As a recent graduate of the Educational Studies Program from Arizona State University, I would be
delighted to fill your need for a third-grade teacher. I learned about your need from a recruiting program
through my university and knew that your school would be the perfect for me, as I would be for you. We
met sporadically last year when I volunteered at your school for various classrooms and as a librarian’s
assistant. My positive attitude toward growth and learning, as well as my strong work ethic and affinity
with children are qualities that will benefit your team.

I know that your school is focusing on integrating a Spanish Immersion program into your school. I have a
minor in Spanish and have been working with Spanish speaking families as a volunteer for some of the
local non-profits in my area. I am able to speak with non-English speaking parents, as well as guide
students struggling with the transition with ease and patience. I was recently recognized by one non-profit
as a special liaison for my facility with people and the language.

I have worked many hours with local schools, yours included, and know how to teach children. Although
this would be my first official position, I have been a personal asset to each school in which I work. I would
love to show you the way in which I will work for your school and the students who are in attendance.
