WHAT IS BLUE WHALE GAME ?

• The Blue Whale Game also "Blue Whale Challenge“ is an internet


game.
• That is claimed to exist in several countries
• Consists of a series of tasks assigned to players by
administrators during a 50-day period
• Final challenge requiring the player to commit suicide

MAN BEHIND THE GAME

• PHILIPP BUDEIKIN
• 21-year-old Russian
• a former psychology student
who was expelled from his
university, claimed that he
invented the game
He stated that his purpose was to "clean" the society by pushing to
suicide those he deemed as having no value
Budeikin was arrested in May 2016 and was
sentenced to three years in prison
He was held on charges of
inciting at least 16
schoolgirls to kill themselves
by taking part in his Blue

When he was arrested he told the investigators that he


thinks his young female victims were 'happy to die'.

Blue Whale Challenge is not a game that can be downloaded
easily through Google Play or App store

The players receive invitations to enlist in the game through social


networking groups

4. Draw a whale on a sheet of paper, send a photo to
curator. etc
Final task is to commit suicide

The government has directed internet majors --
Google, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Microsoft
and Yahoo -- to immediately remove the links of
dangerous online game Blue Whale Challenge, which
has reportedly led to deaths of children in India and
other countries.

psychological issues need to be addressed
