 Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What
will the students and the teacher be doing? (This includes
what they are doing with the technology).
-Once the students are in their seats I will give a review
on the major causes and effect of American
involvement in WW2. This may take a while
considering there is a lot of information to cover.
-Next I will go over what the students need to do for
this assignment. This will be showing them how to use
the web tool, to showing them the example I created.
-This activity will have students create a timeline to
help better understand the topics covered in class. The
topics covered in class will be related to the SOL
standards of World War 2. The topics to be addressed
in the timeline is as follows:
- The leaders of the Axis and Allied powers
- Impact at the American Homefront
- Major invasions/battles that lead to the
beginning of the war and to Americas
involvement
- Turning points in the war and major events
- Ending of war events/discoveries

Please provide step-by-step instructions for your students to
use the tool to complete their assignment. Depending on the
age of your student, this might begin with 1. Click on Earth
to open the Internet. Etc..

Before you submit, delete the explanatory text (the text in small italics).
1. Access the internet
2. Go to https://www.timetoast.com/
3. Sign up, chose a plan from the public free
choice (on the right)
4. Create a username and password
5. Click time lines on the left side
6. Click add timeline
7. Title your time line
8. For category chose history
9. Upload a photo
10. Click create Timeline
11. Add event. I will include an example product
that outline the main topics I would like you to
follow. I outline the major event that lead to
the war, now you must fill in the rest.
12. Give 2-3 events/ in the description box about
each topic with at least one sentence
summarizing the importance of the event
13. When finished, click the small menu button on
the right, slide it from draft to public
14. Select “view this timeline”
15. Copy and paste URL and email the URL to me
