Assets Item Master:

Assets item master is created and maintained by Central Accounts Section for maintaining assets register
of ISP. It is 5 digit alpha-numeric code. First letter is alpha, which is taken from item description. This
master also includes Account code, rate of depreciation, assets group.

2. General Ledger:
General Leger has been codified in following manner:-

1. Account codes have been arranged in ascending order of the corresponding group codes.
2. Many times balances of some of the group-heads are clubbed under one group head. Then
Account Code for the specific G/L Account which are Five Digit Code as determined by
Corporate Office.
3. Break-up of five digit account code:
1st digit from left represents major cluster of account.
1 & 2 – Assets
3 - IUCA
4 - Liabilities & Provision
5 - Income
6,7 & 8 – Expenditure
2nd & 3rd digits from left represent major items of a cluster.
4th & 5th digit from left represent sub-items of a major item.7

3. Location Code:
Location master is created and maintained by Central Accounts Section which is used to tag assets with
their location and it is also shown in fixed assets register. It is 7 digit numeric code. This master includes
asset group, unit, assets location, description of the master and department.

4. Assets Code:
Assets code is created and maintained by Central Accounts Section along with all details of the fixed
assets (like assets item, belong to a department, assets location, date of capitalization, amount of
capitalization, etc). it is 11 digit numeric code, first 7 digit is location and remaining 4 digit is serial no of
assets.

5. ISD party master:

ISD party master code is created and maintained by Central Accounts Section. In master data include
party code, party name, account code, party GSTIN no and GST registration (Y/N).
 6. Price Master:
Price master data is created and maintained by sales accounting section. This master data include
product code, product description, quality code, quality description, cost price/unit, base price, etc.

7. Freight code master:

Freight code master is created and maintained by sales account section. This master data include change
code(steel, cock, pig, etc.)

8. Stockyard master:
Stockyard master is maintained by sales accounting section. This master data include unit, date, yard
code, SCSS yard code, yard description, etc.

9. Customer Master:
Customer master is created and maintained by sales accounting section as per requirement of ISP
marketing department. This master data include customer code, customer name, customer address,
GST register no, PAN no, bank details, consignee region, etc.

10. Vendor Master:

Vendors are of two types, supplier and contractor vendor master and these are created and maintained
by MM department and MB section.

11. Material Master:

Material master is created and maintained by MM department. It is 12 digit numeric code. This master
data include material code, material description, department code, purchase organization and ITC
eligible(Y/N), etc.
