Card Status Management


• Activate new/re-issued cards, deactivate old cards
• Depends on PIN management:
• No PIN: First transaction activates cards issued with no PIN
associated (e.g. credit cards)
• PIN scenarios:
o On first successful transaction, if PIN mailer sent with card
o Immediately, if PIN selected in-branch
o PIN change required with first PIN-based transaction

o Advance extract period
 One extract period closed; a new one opened immediately
o Extract files
 Control production of files; must follow advance extract period job
