If Not Now Then When?

I don’t understand,
How did it get this way?
When did hate become such a part of the human
condition?
Where and when were we led astray?
At odds with everything,
What devious decepter darkened the already lighten path?
I do not understand,
When did we go so far out of the way?
We’re getting nowhere fast and leaving a trail of
destruction as we pass,
An aftermath that is a pure disservice to this earth,
Spitting in our mothers face,
Kicking our fathers when their down,
Feeding our brothers and whoring our sisters to the
hounds of hell,
Someone must sound the bells of change,
We must change our ways!
If not now then when?
