Hunger Games Dodgeball:

SETUP: Cornucopia: Dodgeballs in the centre circle

OPTIONAL: Mats may be set up around the gym to serve as barriers/shelter.

Starting:
 All students will start having a body part touching a wall.
 Countdown begins, on the whistle, game starts
 Blurb to start: Welcome to the 1st annual FEO hunger games. Please wait for the sound of
the whistle to begin. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Rules:
 No head shots, if you hit someone in the head, you are out
 Out: When you get hit by a dodgeball or tagged you must sit (on your butt) and can tag
unsuspecting players. You’ve been boobie trapped! Your butt is stuck to the ground. You
can’t throw dodgeballs.
o The only way to get back in the game is if a sponsor (“phys ed teacher”) frees you using
fitness.
 Example: do 10 jumping jacks and you’re back in the game!
 Goal: be the last victor standing
 Tracker Jackers: Phys Ed teacher picks 2-3 students (who have gotten “out”) to be tracker
jackers! They are now given the power to “sting” or tag any players still in the game. If a
player is tagged they are out.
o Tracker Jackers may not be hit by dodgeballs or throw them.
 The gamemaker (“phys ed teacher”) may impose additional rules AT ANY TIME
o 1 whistle blow = freeze to hear new rule

Gamemaker’s Rules Examples:

 Only green dodgeballs are active, all others are inactive for 30 seconds
 From start allow to pick an ally/partner to win the games with. When there are members of
only 1 district left, rule change: only one victor may win.
 Poisonous fog has formed above your heads. Everyone must bear crawl to avoid it.
 Tracker jackers must give their pinnie to someone else
 You’re stuck in a mud pit and you can’t move your feet for 30 seconds!
 Boobie traps can now throw dodgeballs
 The capitol has delivered medicine, everyone is back in
 All those alive may choose one person to save (from being out)
 Pick a partner to hold hands with or link elbows with – if they get out so do you
 MAKE YOUR OWN!
