I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On 12/2/18 at approximately 14:00, police responded to the area of 900 South 700 east on a call of an occupied
stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was following it in this area. When the occupants saw police vehicles,
they parked the vehicle and jumped out to run across a nearby park. The front passenger was found to be Marc
Smith 3/20/99. Marc ran from police and attempted to avoid being caught. A police K9 was used to apprehend
Marc. Marc was unaware that the vehicle was stolen, but admitted to seeing police vehicle lights and officers
chasing him. Marc Is being charged with failure to stop at the command of law enforcement, MA. No criminal
history found for AP.
