  Advanced AFNR 8:57-9:50

Students: (Andy, Abbi, Sophia, Lacey, Kade)

Lacey will be with us at the district speaking contest

This class is doing a unit on commodity marketing. They need to start off class by recording the
cash prices of corn and wheat from 4 different places. They record this information on excel or
in google sheets, it seems like it have been taking them anywhere from 5 to minutes, depending
on their technology.

Next they need to watch three videos about commodity marketing that I have posted onto their
google classroom and take a short quiz that is also on the google classroom. They all should be
able to get to the google classroom, however if their computer is not working well they might
have to use their cell phone.

If there is time at the end of the hour have them get on their commodity challenge website, once
they are logged into the website have them go the learn tab, then on this page they can select a “
developing a post harvest marketing plan” there are several videos that explain the marketing
types, I think this is really going to help them understand more about using commodity
marketing. They can watch the introduction video and then the 3 videos that are the celebrity
producer videos.

Students: (Caelan, Kyle, MJ, Maranda, Lilly, Julisa, Carlos, Nic, and Oden)

These guys and gals are just about done with their tool box project. With christmas coming up I
think it would be nice if they could either make someone a small gift or maybe a christmas
decoration out of wood. Please help them come up with some ideas. The only stipulation is that
it has to be made with scrap wood. I will be try to help them out with paint and stain myself.

  Hour- AG Mechanics 10:47-11:40

4th
Students: (Kade, Lloyd, Andy, Nate)

We just finished up our shop open house and welding night but we have lots of work to do still to
get these projects back to their owners. What we need to do is to get these rims organized in the
other shed and also clean it out a bit as we need to park the ag pick-up in thier.

If there is still time I would like them to take the regulator off of the sandblasting cabinet and put
it on the large black sand blaster, I think it is out in the other shed.

Connor Buchanan)

Joslyn and Emma will be with us!!!

This class will be starting to work into animal science. On the google classroom they will find a
table on animal classifications, they each need to complete and submit back into google
classroom. I would like for them to spend most of the class working through it on their own, but
if they want to discuss as they begin finishing their worksheets they can. We will review the
answers on Tuesday.

If they complete this table, they were asked two weeks ago to find an article on state and
national ag news and to write a summary of each article. These summaries with a link to the
article should be submitted to the google classroom. Those who turned both in should find a
recent (within 5 years) article on local ag news and should write a summary on the article and
why they chose it.

  Hour- Advanced AFNR 1:10-2:05

6th
Students: (Shane, Devon, Jared, Tristin, Mary, Alan, Elijah, Jimena, Lloyd, Nate, Tyler,
Tyson, Gilary, Ashlynn, Eduardo)

Tyson will be with us.

Last week when we had our shop open house, we ended up putting their chair projects up stairs,
we need to get all of these projects down and have each student take a quick inventory of their
project. We should be able to finish up this project before christmas break, but some of them are
going to have to hustle. One thing they can do after they have made sure they have all of their
pieces is determine what type of finish they will be using on their project. I don't mind if they
paint however, the paint I have is what I have, so if they would like something else they will need
to provide it. Please have them write down on a note card what their plan is for the finish of
their chair.

If there is class time remaining they may work on homework.
